Curriculum Subjects

We have developed a broad and balanced curriculum which is driven by three key qualities that we believe are fundamental to the development of our children. These are Faith and Spirituality, Knowledge and Experiences and Resilience. Our intent is to develop children who have high aspirations for the future. 

Leaders have reviewed the curriculum design in order to ensure they have a curriculum sequenced and planned towards cumulative knowledge that reflects local context and builds into an understanding of the wider world. Leaders have developed a Curriculum Handbook and Teaching and Learning policy which is based on the principles of cognitive science. This has supported leaders in the sequencing of curriculum content, lesson delivery and strengthened teaching pedagogical content knowledge. Teaching and learning across the school evidences good practice. Strong monitoring and evaluation procedures have been embedded. 

The School is currently working through CYCLE A of our curriculum and leaders and staff are designing CYCLE B throughout this academic year in preparation for the next academic year.
