Every Child   Every Chance   Every Day   Together with Christ

"Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."

~Matthew 25: 25-40~

Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic social teaching (CST) is rooted in Scripture, formed by the wisdom of Church leaders, and influenced by grassroots movements. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world.

Our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we hope to make present in our unjust and broken world, the justice, love and peace of God. Our Catholic Social teaching is interwoven through our RE and PSHE curriculum and allows the children to understand the impact they have on the lives of others.

Seven Catholic social teaching principles
Dignity
Solidarity
The common good
The option for the poor
Peace
Care for creation
The dignity of work and participation

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
